Our Team

Marc May
Founder

Marc is the Founder of The Legal Technologist and Legal Ops Career. 

He qualified as a lawyer but quickly pivoted towards legal technology and a career in legal operations. Firstly managing the roll out of document automation at RPC, then as a consultant implementing CLM tools for global corporates at SYKE (now part of Consilio). After almost burning out he now supports businesses with content writing and marketing strategy.

His key focus is on presenting legal operations as an alternative to practising law and pushing legal operations forward. He is also co-organiser for the Legal Tech in the South West event, as well as Founder of My Legal Marketplace.

Marco Mendola
Relationships Director

Marco is a legal innovator, editor and podcaster. After completing a postgraduate course in Law & Digital Tech at Leiden University (Ned), he moved to the UK to begin his professional career in legal and fintech.

Fed up with reviewing dysfunctional contracts, he transitioned into legal technology – embracing the design thinking methodology. He has a proven track record in project management, excelling in providing educational training, mastering interactive workshops, and cultivating communities driven by a shared purpose.

He is an innovation consultant for start-ups and Relationships Director for The Legal Technologist and Legal Ops Career. As well as co-organiser of the Legal Tech in the South West event.
