New Role: Junior Legal Operations Specialist

New junior role out for a Legal Operations Specialist at corporate Farfetch focused primarily on billing.

THE ROLE We are continuing to scale our Legal, Ethics & Compliance (LEC) team sustainably and efficiently. We’re looking for a Junior Legal Operations Specialist, who will report to the Head of Legal Operations, to join our Legal Operations team as we drive change, build a framework, and set up the strategy & streamline processes. Someone who is excited by the FARFETCH mission and culture, and passionate about technology. We are looking for someone to join our legal operations function to support our growing legal team of nearly 60 in seven jurisdictions.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

1. Own the team invoicing and billing process, identifying and implement improvement measures

2. You’ll provide a customer-centric, efficient, and seamless experience to LEC, managing the responding to system, policy and process queries.

3. Maintain all invoice procedural documentation and Playbooks

4. Be the central point of contact with the Invoicing platform service provider.

5. Liaise with outside counsel to ensure compliance with LEC billing guidelines

6. Manage the matter management system to ensure accuracy and reconciliation with invoices, working with both the LEC and outside counsel.

7. Manage WIP and accruals process, ensuring alignment with internal financial systems.

8. Support project within the LEC Legal Team.

9. Support team with raising POs on our accounting systems.

10. Run regular, periodic reports and proactively communicate these to the team (, spend against budgets, jurisdictions, law firms etc.)

WHO YOU ARE

11. Customer focused orientated with previous experience in a billing or invoicing support capacity preferred (if in legal operations environment that will be a plus);

12. Solid IT skills, specifically Excel, Word, PowerPoint and the full G Suite.

13. A stickler for accuracy, attention to detail and data protection.

14. Proactive and a problem-solver; able to spot inefficiencies and opportunities, and recommend new ways of working, striving to constantly improve what we do.

15. You are highly proficient at organisation, able to manage multiple priorities, self-organise and keep on top of tasks.
