What You’ll Do

The Legal Operations Manager supports in execution and enforcement of system and operations to support our Global Legal Team and the Global Client Contracting Policy. This role is expected to contribute to the team’s priorities and organizational excellence aspirations by assisting our legal team in continually contributing to our operationalizing practices and updating processes.

This position is crucial in driving operations related activities and innovation in the team, such as:

  • Updating contracts / templates/ clauses in contract management systems
  • Working and coordinating with legal team stakeholders such as attorneys, legal team squads, other functions outside the legal team, such as local finance teams, commercial teams, case teams
  • Uploading of documents, processing of submissions for executed contracts by checking them against designated checklists, and completion of records within various systems and tools
  • Upkeeping and maintaining of databases through short duration projects
  • Prioritizing and steering the global legal ops workload and appropriately escalating sensitive work matters, partnering with a global set of lawyers to resolve issues
  • Assisting in the preparation of standard metrics/ KPIs
  • Continuously monitoring the system and team for inefficiencies and proactively suggesting updates to continue running at optimal levels keeping pace with business demands
  • Generally supporting legal operations and effectively teaming with team members globally, internal clients, and stakeholders
  • Directing and planning for triage, distribution and assignment of requests incoming to the legal team, based on resources & availabilities in the team; coordination with the global legal ops team for this responsibility
  • Preparing presentation content and materials for key meetings and trainings, including leadership updates on performance metrics and status of operations

Job responsibilities:

Leadership

  • Assist in setting goals for the team
  • Support the implementation of key efficiency initiatives to ensure the success of the team
  • Build consensus and ensure that the team’s efforts align with Legal Team goals/ objectives/ aspirations
  • Identify and develop methods to improve productivity and efficiency of the Ops team

Planning and Execution

  • Develop strategic and operational plans for the group, managing execution, and measuring results- in coordination with the Team Leader
  • Create and implement feedback loop and promote continuous improvement of processes through stakeholder analysis and demand

You Bring (experience & Qualifications)

  • Bachelors degree required
  • German language reading proficiency preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in a business environment
  • Experience working within legal environment a plus
  • Professional certifications a plus;
  • Strong command of Windows Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
  • Strong command of Microsoft Office especially Excel, PowerPoint and Word
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Flexibility to support the team to cater to a diverse, international set of stakeholders. occasionally working outside traditional work hours

YOU’LL WORK WITH

BCG’s Global Legal Team as well as international stakeholders across a range of cohorts and functions. You will report into the Strategy and Operations COE within the Global Legal Team.
